how to set expansion tank in thermal fluid heater system

Expansion tanks shall be installed in the thermal fluid heater system. Expansion tanks shall meet the following requirements

(1) When there is no effective isolation measure between the expansion tank and the boiler, it should not be located directly above the thermal fluid heater.

(2) The closed expansion tank protected by inert gas needs to be equipped with a constant pressure device. If the maximum pressure of the gas in the closed expansion tank does not exceed 0.01 MPa, the overpressure can be limited by liquid seal. Open expansion tank needs to be equipped with vent pipe, and the size of vent pipe meets the requirements of Table 1.

(3) The regulating volume of thermal conductive oil expansion tank is not less than 1.3 times of that of the organic heat carrier in the system when it is heated from ambient temperature to the highest working temperature.

(4) When the expansion capacity of the organic heat carrier of the whole system is accommodated by the high expansion tank and the low expansion container, the liquid level automatic control device and the overflow pipe are installed on the high expansion tank, and the overflow pipe is not equipped with valves, and its size meets the requirements of Table 1.

(5) At least one expansion pipe connected with the expansion tank is not equipped with valves, and its diameter is not less than the size specified in Table 1.

(6) For an expansion tank with a volume greater than or equal to 20 m3, an independent fast discharge valve or an expansion pipeline in the space of gas phase and liquid phase are set up respectively, in which a fast cut-off valve is installed in the liquid phase expansion pipeline.
